I bring a great deal of both life and professional experience to my work with you. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for fifteen years in the Human Resources field in high-tech. After taking time out to raise children and run a small business I decided to pursue a second career. I had been thinking about becoming a therapist since I started college the first time around and I decided to follow that long-held interest.
Through my own professional journey, I am now grateful to be working in a field to which I feel so connected, and I feel privileged to support clients as they progress towards growth and healing.
In addition to my current position in private practice, I have also worked at a community services agency providing therapy to older adults. I have provided school-based counseling for the Santa Clara Union School District and have worked at a nonprofit agency in collaboration with children, teenagers, adults, couples, families, and groups.
In my free moments, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and often can be found in nature, hiking, exploring and kayaking.
